Adrenaline Mob Is The First Inductee To The Bullspike Radio Hall Of Fame Class Of 2018
The argument can be made that Adrenaline Mob was the first supergroup that actually had success. First forming in 2011 with Russell Allen, Mike Portnoy, Mike Orlando, Paul Di Leo, and Rich Ward with a debut self titled EP that immediately grabbed everyone’s attention with their version of Black Sabbath’s “The Mob Rules”.
Prior to the release of their full length album Omertà Paul Di Leo and Rich Ward departed with John Moyer stepping in perfectly. The Mob continued to roll even when Mike Portnoy departed due to scheduling conflicts.
For 2014’s Men Of Honor the mighty AJ Pero had joined on drums and when John Moyer had to depart it was Erik Leonhardt that stepped in. Once again Adrenaline Mob was rocking at full steam. Sadly the first big hit happened when on tour AJ Pero was found unresponsive on the bus due to a heart attack. Many fans, including us here at Bullspike Radio, thought this was their end. But that wasn’t not the case. Not yet.
In 2017 Adrenaline Mob returned with a new album, We The People, with new bass player David Zablidowsky and drummer Jordan Cannata. They were back with a vengeance but again tragedy hit. While on tour in July of 2017 the bands RV was hit by a tractor trailer while on the side of the road fixing a tire. Russell Allen, Mike Orlando, and Jordan Cannata were seriously injured while the music world lost David Zablidowsky and the bands tour manager Jane Train in this horrible accident.
We here at Bullspike Radio are honored to call Adrenaline Mob friends and our hearts still ache from their loss. Adrenaline Mob always brought their top game and did exactly what their name said – turned the crowd into an adrenaline fueled mob ready to rock.
And so we are honored to give them their proper place in rock and metal history and induct Adrenaline Mob, all members, into the Bullspike Radio Hall Of Fame.
